“We do not have to fix everything in our lives to experience contentment” – Karin Conlee
Wanting to learn more about your Therapist is normal and important for developing a trusting relationship in therapy. So here’s a little information about me! One of my favorite activities is hiking with my husband, my kids, and my two dogs. I believe wholeheartedly in the healing power of the natural world. When I’m at home I enjoy gardening, reading, crocheting, painting, and playing games with my kiddos. I have recently started horse back riding and find it very therapeutic. One day I hope to incorporate Equine Therapy into my practice! Let’s see, I also try to read a daily devotional and pray every day. We love to cook, so I look into different recipes for my family to try. With regard to my education and work, I went back to school to get my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology after spending quite a few years getting my life in order. I live an active recovery lifestyle, regularly addressing my own hurts, habits, and hangups – so I make every effort to practice what I preach. I appreciate authenticity. And, I absolutely love being a therapist!! There is nothing more inspiring than witnessing someone walk through adversity, while learning to trust in themselves and others.
